The Vines Cafe at Vines Village is a family favourite. With two playgrounds to keep the kids entertained, ice cream and plenty of lawn space to run and play - you will love it here. Enjoy wines from the likes of Whitehaven, or head over to the Gin Shack and sample some locally made gins - there is something for everyone here.

This park includes a range of fortress-like play structures, swings and slides that cater for all ages. There's a flying fox, and plenty of space to kick a ball or fly a kite.

Check out upcoming open days where you can feed and cuddle the animals, have a pony ride, try your hand gem fossicking at the gold mine and walk through the old western town of Little Nut Creek

Used for both summer and winter sports, Oliver Park has rugby and rugby league fields and football pitches in the winter and cricket ovals in the summer.

It also has a great playground incorporating a flying fox and wooden bike track which adjoins the Plunket junior playground.

Enjoy beautiful forest and river scenery on one of several walks - there are short, easy options for kids and of course the river for them to swim in too.

Enjoy a leisurely 1.5-2hr walk in the Marlborough Sounds. Keep an eye out for fur seals, penguins, bellbirds (korimako), tūi, wētā and geckos!

The track on this predator-free island in the Queen Charlotte Sound leads to a lookout with incredible views, via penguin nesting boxes and through a vibrant population of native birdlife.

Built in India in 1853, the first 40 yrs The Edwin Fox was kept very busy with convicts, immigrants and soldiers and tea and beer trading routes before it arrived in Picton, unknowingly never to leave again! Come and see what life would of been like on board! Try a traditional game of quoits, have a go at knot tying. Great photo opportunities. Children friendly and a great wet weather day activity.

Brayshaw Heritage Park, Blenheim is home to the Marlborough Vintage Farm Machinery Society which is open 10-3 daily, the Marlborough Vintage Car Club who open on Wednesday and Sunday 1.30 - 4 p.m, Blenheim Riverside Railway who open 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month plus extra events in school holidays!

This trail is loved by walkers, runners, cyclists and dog walkers. There’s a pump track part way along the route which is great for kids of all ages. 

There are trails for every level of riding, including the easy single track Rifle Range Trail along the base of the hills and the challenging Mt Vernon Traverse over the ridgelines. 

This brilliant little bike track is suitable for any age and any level, and is a great spot to work on your skills. 

The Sounds Mini Golf is a unique Mini Golf course, a place built for adventure, fun and lots of smiling. There are hot drinks, cold drinks and ice creams all available on site so the winner can shout for you all!
