Momorangi Bay - DOC Campground

Camp beside a beautiful sheltered bay surrounded by bush-covered hills in this family-friendly campground in the Grove Arm of Queen Charlotte Sound. The swimming, boating, fishing and recreational opportunities make this scenic spot very popular for picnicking as well as camping. Launch your boat, swim, relax or watch the kids play at the campground. The resident managers can help with advice on boating, walking, mountain biking, fishing and other opportunities nearby, such as the Queen Charlotte Track (a 15 minute drive away). There are some short walks at the camp itself including a glowworm grotto. The shop is open daily between Labour Weekend and Easter with ice creams, coffee, basic supplies, bait and fishing tackle available, as well as fish 'n' chips in the evenings. Choose between the very popular waterfront sites (book early for these) or the main camp across the road. Basic cabins are also available. A 25 minute, 13.5 km drive from Picton on the scenic Queen Charlotte Drive.
