Driftwood Eco Tours
From high country stations to the outer Marlborough Sounds and the Chatham Islands, Driftwood Eco Tours specialises in small group multi-day tours into some of New Zealand’s most beautiful but remote places.
Based in the South Island of New Zealand - Te waipounamu and New Zealand-owned by Maree Carson and Julian Tovey, we have a deep knowledge and passion for the places we visit. Since 2004, Driftwood Eco Tours have fostered close relationships with locals, who will share their experience of farming, conservation, history, culture and their personal lives.
Brand-new tour!
The Molesworth is an iconic kiwi high country station, in the heart of the dry south Awatere Marlborough mountains. Together we'll explore some of the classic locations, plus take you where others can't.

With just 6–12 guests, our multi-day tours are relaxed, inclusive, and focused on genuine connection - with locals, nature, and each other
A journey with Driftwood gives you a unique opportunity to explore those special landscapes, with a small group of like-minded people, all while enjoying the warmth of rural kiwi hospitality.
Whether you’re soaking in the beauty of a rugged coastline, having a yarn over a hot cuppa, or spotting wildlife in untouched habitats, the experience is meaningful, unhurried, and truly immersive.
Sharing your stories over a glass of wine and delicious local cuisine is the perfect way to end each day, building a genuine connection with your hosts and new friends.
