For a different angle on Marlborough, head to Penzance Bay in Tennyson Inlet, and ride the track through to Elaine Bay, near French Pass.

Get to the track from the Tennyson Inlet Road off State Highway 6 just past Rai Valley. Turn left after Opouri Saddle and drive to Penzance, where the track begins. You can also start the track from Elaine Bay which is accessed from the road to French Pass.
