Governors Bay
A short drive or decent bike ride from Picton, and a beautiful 15 minute walk down through a scenic reserve takes you to this stunning, white sandy beach in the Marlborough Sounds.

Department of Conservation campsites
If you’re after a million dollar view for very little cost, visit one of the nearly 50 Department of Conservation (DOC) campsites in Marlborough, from Blumine Island in the Marlborough Sounds, to the Acheron at the far end of the Molesworth Road.
Rarangi Beach Campground
Rarangi Beach near Blenheim has a great dog friendly ( on leash only) campsite at the edge of the ocean, so come prepared to fish, surf and picnic, and pack some shoes to enjoy the walks nearby.
Rainbow Ski Area
Perched on the northern end of the Southern Alps, at 1760m above Lake Rotoiti, Rainbow Ski Area is here today because of the dedication of the local ski community.
Wairau Valley Golf Club
Wairau Valley Golf Course is a 9 hole course 30 minutes west of Blenheim on S/H 63.

Rarangi Golf Club

We are located just North of Seddon, or 23 km south of Blenheim on State Highway 1. It is an easy twenty-minute drive from Blenheim.

Whites Bay
Whites Bay, just over the hill from Rarangi, between Picton and Blenheim, is a brilliant safe bay for swimming with a white, sandy beach and sheltered bay.
Self-Contained Motor Vehicle camping
If you are camping in a self-contained campervan, you can park up at one of the Marlborough District Council’s designated spots, including Wynen Street car park in Blenheim, Wairau Diversion Reserve in Blenheim, Taylor Dam Reserve, Renwick Domain and Elterwater near Ward.
Robin Hood Bay Campground
Camp next to the beach. Fish, surf at a nearby beach, or watch for Hector’s dolphins.
Mill Flat Campsite
Mill Flat is a quiet dog-friendly campsite 22km up Northbank Rd, northwest of Blenheim. You’ll find a grassy clearing with a beech forest nearby.
Moawhitu, D'Urville Island
Stunning, remote campsite near to a surf beach with good fishing, hunting, tramping, and mountain biking nearby.
