Events  >  Uk's Annie Guilfoyle On What Makes a Great Garden
With a career spanning the globe and a vast amount of experience gathered along the way, Annie will discuss the key elements that are essential in creating a great garden. Delivered with her wholly relatable and enthusiastic charm and supplemented by a montage of beautiful images, Annie will offer detailed insight about what gives her the most inspiration in terms of people, places, and plants.

From Annie’s travels and teaching she will share clever examples of gardens that in her opinion not only provide a sanctuary but are also sustainable and show how you can plan and plant for a changing climate. This Friday evening presentation will enlighten and entertain you, boost your creativity, and satisfy your gardening soul!

A bit about Annie...
Chanticleer Garden in Pennsylvania, USA, Great Dixter in East Sussex, UK, Geltonas Karutis in Vilnius, Lithuania and Garden Masterclass Polska in Warsaw - just to name a few. In the last twelve months, award winning garden designer, international lecturer and writer, Annie Guilfoyle has delivered stimulating workshops and inspirational presentations in all these locations. She has fascinating stories to tell and a wealth of knowledge to share.

Annie is a regular judge for RHS Chelsea Flower Show, UK, Copenhagen Garden Show, Denmark and the Orticolario Flower Show at Lake Como, Italy. She has also judged for The UK Society of Garden Designers Annual Awards, Moscow Garden Show, Russia, and the PHS Flower Show in Philadelphia, USA.

Her television work includes being a featured designer on the BBC-TV series Small Town Gardens and The Garden Makers.

Over eight years ago, together with Noel Kingsbury, Annie established Garden Masterclass, an educational programme of in-person and online events (excitingly, Noel will also be joining Garden Marlborough this year via a pre-recorded workshop).
