Join us at The Picton Little Theatre for an inspiring evening.
We’re excited to host a screening of Think Like a Forest - a powerful short film that brings to life the vision of Recloaking Papatūānuku, a bold initiative to restore, regenerate, and protect more than two million hectares of native forests and wetlands across Aotearoa within the next 30 years.
The film follows hunter, fisher, and conservationist Sam the Trap Man, as he meets kaitiaki already working on the ground, and shares a vision for a regenerative future where communities and landscapes thrive together.
Alongside the film, we are delighted to welcome Neil Mulholland, an international leader in conservation philanthropy. Neil played a pivotal role in transforming the US National Park Foundation, growing their supporter base from just 50,000 to more than 2 million donors. That’s the kind of energy and momentum we need here in New Zealand — especially with more than 4,000 native species now threatened or at risk.
Neil is currently Chair of the NZ Nature Fund, and will join Anna Polson in conversation for half an hour before the film. Together, they’ll explore the crucial role of philanthropy in protecting our unique biodiversity, and the opportunities we have to build a movement for nature here at home.
This promises to be a thought-provoking and uplifting evening — and we’d love you to be part of it.
