The Flying Exploits of WW1 Ace Keith Caldwell

Events  >  The Flying Exploits of WW1 Ace Keith Caldwell
Dr Adam Claasen will explore the death-defying endeavours of one of New Zealand's greatest pilots, the extraordinary Keith 'Grid' Caldwell MC, DFC & Bar, Coix de Guerre. Adam will detail Caldwell's domestic training and subsequent journey from humble reconnaissance pilot in 1916 to the British air service's most successful fighter squadron commander in 1918. Along the way, we will encounter famous pilots on either side of the trenches and some of the war's most important aircraft.

Signed copies of Grid will be available to purchase on the night. A cash bar will be open and light refreshments will be served.

This is a free event, but due to limited space, a ticket is required.
