New Zealand Chinese Language Week 2025
Events > New Zealand Chinese Language Week 2025

The New Zealand Chinese Language Week, founded in 2014 by Jo Coughlan and Raymond Huo, aims to inspire greater understanding and appreciation of the Chinese language and culture across Aotearoa. This year, the Marlborough Chinese Community is delighted to host a special celebration in Blenheim at St Christopher Anglican Church Hall.
Join us for an afternoon filled with engaging activities and cultural experiences for the whole family. This event is designed to bring our local community together, share the richness of Chinese culture, and encourage the learning of the Chinese language.
Event Highlights:
- Chinese Calligraphy Workshop
- Chinese Tea Art Workshop
- Traditional Chinese Medicine Diagnostic Experience
- Information on Scholarship Programs in China – opportunities for cultural exchange and study
- Cultural displays
- Live performances showcasing traditional music, dance, and more
- Chinese snack tastings and interactive cultural activities for all ages
This is a free public event, and everyone is welcome. Whether you have an interest in learning Chinese, enjoy cultural experiences, or simply want to spend an inspiring afternoon with friends and family, this event is for you!
