Marlborough Mount Everest Challenge

Events  >  Marlborough Mount Everest Challenge
The Marlborough Mt Everest Challenge invites you to walk, run, or hike the equivalent height of Mt Everest – that’s 8,848 metres of elevation – over seven weeks, the same time it took Sir Edmund Hillary to summit the world’s tallest peak in 1953.
You can conquer your Everest individually or share the challenge with friends, family, or colleagues by registering as a team. Choose the approach that suits your motivation and fitness level.
We’ve selected some of Marlborough’s best tracks to help you reach your goal. Complete: Tirohanga Track (Picton) – 36 climbs or Mt Vernon Track (Blenheim) – 25 climbs
Prefer variety? No problem! You can log any hill or mountain climb in Marlborough using the challenge website. Every metre counts, and your personal or team elevation totals will update automatically once you log your efforts.
Whether you’re chasing a personal goal, rediscovering local tracks, or building healthy habits with friends, this is a fun, achievable challenge for all ages and fitness levels.
