Marlborough Lines Generation Museum - Open Afternoon

This FREE event will be held at the corner of Thomsons Ford and Old Renwick Roads, with the rare Paxman engine running at 3.30pm.

The Paxman engine, capable of producing 430kW, was installed in 1930 to generate back-up power and is the only engine of its kind in the world that is still operable.

Journey into Marlborough's electricity history with exhibits for the whole family to experience.
