Te Au Pūngao Tech & Innovation Hub
Te Au Pūngao Marlborough’s Tech & Innovation Hub officially opened in February 2025, supported by $578,000 in funding from the Government’s $200 million Kānoa fund.
Located, 33 Arthur Street in Blenheim's CBD, the hub is designed to support start-ups and innovators who are solving real-world problems in areas from sustainability to Agritech. While helping local businesses grow, create high-value jobs, and strengthen Marlborough's innovative business ecosystem.
Funding
The Kānoa investment fund supports regions to achieve their economic potential. The Marlborough District Council initially approved extra budget to develop the tech and innovation ecosystem in Marlborough in the 2021/2031 Long Term Plan. After months of industry consultation the Marlborough Economic Wellbeing Strategy was launched in November 2022 which showed a clear need for the region’s economic sectors to innovate and change.
