No.1 Family Estate is a boutique Méthode Traditionelle winery founded by Daniel and Adele Le Brun. It is the only winery in New Zealand committed exclusively to producing premium Méthode Traditionelle wine.

Almost 40 years ago, champagne maker Daniel Le Brun has had one goal: to make Méthode Traditionelle and to do it in Marlborough, New Zealand. Since he planted the first vines in Marlborough, the award-winning winemaker has created wines that rival the best in the world using methods perfected over 12 generations by his family in Champagne.

The winery is set out with state-of-the-art processing equipment imported from Champagne. Production focused on limited edition wines, using only top-quality grapes grown specifically for making Methode Traditionelle wines and paying meticulous attention to detail from the vineyard through to the wine on the shelf.

While Daniel makes the wine, Adele provides the business and marketing flair. The next generation of Le Bruns, son Remy and daughter Virginie, are the faces of the future and are actively involved in building the No.1 brand, in New Zealand and across the world.
