Serenely located on the banks of the Wairau River, Maraqeta offers a relaxing, private lodge environment and a friendly welcome all year round.
The name Maraqeta is a Fijian word which loosely translates as "my most treasured possession" which is how Angela first felt when she discovered the gracious 100 year old Blenheim residence and subsequently had it moved to their beautiful riverside site.
Just 20 kilometres out of Blenheim township, Maraqeta Lodge lies within minutes of plentiful, internationally renowned vineyards, local galleries and scenic walks, as well as a mix of mainstreet and boutique shopping.
Local attractions also include the Sunday Farmer's Market and Hunter's Garden Marlborough week, the popular annual Marlborough Food & Wine Festival.
Maraqeta Lodge offers a happy mix of activities for both avid fishing fans and those who prefer to explore the local regional highlights, or simply take time out to relax.
