Cloudy Bay Jack's Raw Bar Marlborough

Jack's Raw Bar is Cloudy Bay's popular summer outdoor eatery open from December to April each year. Open from 11:30 to 3:30 daily - bookings not required.

The menu consists of fresh and seasonal local produce with a Japanese twist. Some popular items include freshly shucked Marlborough oysters and Cloudy Bay clams, artisan cheeses from Cranky Goat and Kaikoura Cheese, Arancini (risotto balls), Japanese Beef Tartare, Sachie's Poke, Soba Noodle Salad, Japanese Macha Panna Cotta, Kohu Road ice cream.

The name Jack’s Raw Bar was inspired by the iconic Marlborough dolphin Pelorus Jack, a rare white Risso dolphin famous for guiding boats near French Pass in the Marlborough Sounds from 1888 to 1913. Pelorus Jack also lends his name to our Sparkling Wine Pelorus, and the dolphin emblem appears on every bottle of Cloudy Bay wine.

In winter a simpler menu is available daily in our Cellar Door featuring fresh local artisan cheeses and charcuterie, hot seasonal soup of the day, and craft pate .
