Renwick Meat Market and Bakery has been around since the 1960s when my parents, Graeme and Beverly started the business, and since then we've become famous for Renwick Pies and friendly service.
All up we employ 18 people and it's a pretty big responsibility, ensuring we can keep them all in work.
The lockdown was a big blow to us all, effectively switching off our income stream and livelihoods overnight.
But if anything good came out of it, it would be that we've been pushed into setting up an order and delivery system.
We're not quite online yet, but that step doesn't seem as hard to take now we know there is a demand for it.
It's ironic really, because back in the day, we used to do deliveries, so although it is a step forward for our customers today, it's almost like coming full circle for us.
We've had so much support from Renwick over the years, and giving back to sports groups and supporting various fundraisers by providing sausages and pies at cost is just something we do to ensure our community is also doing well.

One thing I want to do over the next few months is take a Marlborough Sounds cruise and stay at one of the lodges. It's one of those things, you know, when it's in your own backyard, you never get around to doing it. Well, now is the time! Cheers!
