In the weeks before lockdown we were very busy as our clients prepared for staff to work from home.

There was a huge rush on web gear such as webcams and wireless headsets, but fortunately we had seen what was going on overseas and had stocked up supplies.

Once we were in lockdown, we were still operational, providing technical support to our customers as they got used to new technology and systems working from home.

Many of our clients were already in the cloud, so working remotely was not a big leap for them.

However lockdown did provide a great opportunity for many businesses to streamline their systems and processes, for example going paperless and converting to a cloud-based phone system.

The pandemic has shown us the importance of staying current with technology and the ability it has to help businesses adapt to unforeseen challenges. Imagine if we had no internet during lockdown!

While some businesses have been able to go back to business as almost normal, many people have become used to working at home. And now they know they can work effectively and efficiently from home, some people may choose not to go back to the office again.

Whatever the future holds, Marlborough is fortunate to have many strings to its bow.

We’re a diverse little town, and we’re hoping Marlborough as a whole will come together and support each other through these challenging times.
