Where is your favourite place in Marlborough?
Hard to pick just one as I think this entire region is paradise on earth! so let’s say Mistletoe Bay. I have been there many times on school camps and we have also stayed there as a family
If you had only 3 days in Marlborough, how would you spend the time?
1. Day in the sounds somewhere
2. Day walking the Wither Hills or further afield
By then I will have earned a whole day of wining and dining so will be out for brunch, lunch and then dinner!
The region has a lot on offer for families, what are your top two things to do with your children in the area and why?
We have done the Tasman sport Winter challenge a few times and loved it – discovered so many walks and activities that have become family favourites
Other things we love are mountain biking in either Wither Hills or Link Pathway
Spending time in the sounds or at Whites Bay.
Marlborough produces world class wine, beer and cuisine, what are the ingredients to an ideal local feast for you?
This would need to be at least a 5 course event
Starting with great local sparkling wine eg from Huia.
Then onto Cloudy Bay Clams paired with Organic Sauvignon Blanc or a fantastic dry Riesling.
Then onto some fantastic local lamb from Origin South with Pinot Noir.
Followed by something from Premium Game – matched with our stellar Organic Syrah.
Then lots of cheese – Cranky Goat is my fave
Other local food producers we love – Windsong blueberries, Hedgerows Strawberries, Pinoli Pinenuts, Thymebank herbs,
