Eat

Marlborough is a foodie haven, with plenty of gourmet produce on offer from land and sea. Take a Marlborough Sounds seafood tour, visit the many local markets or head to one of the eateries to sample seafood delicacies and locally-grown foods, to pair with Marlborough wine, beer and gin.

Drink

With more than 120 wineries and more than 30 cellar doors to visit, a Marlborough wine tour is a must. Take a guided tour, self-drive or bike. Approximately 2/3 of wine produced in New Zealand comes from Marlborough, and 85% of New Zealand's sauvignon blanc is from the region. Boutique gins made right here in the region are available to tickle your tastebuds.

Craft beer

Marlborough is home to some of New Zealand’s top craft beer. Off the back of its winemaking success, Marlborough is taking the craft beer world by storm, taking home some top international awards.

Renaissance and Moa are multi-award winning breweries in Marlborough, with Moa having a cellar door in the heart of the region offering tastings. Sample the brews in local establishments throughout the region or visit the cellar door to see craft beer brewing in action.

Based within The Vines Village along the world famous wine producing area of Rapaura Road, Golden Mile Brewing crafts a range of cycle-friendly sessionable beers perfect for celebrating that epic Marlborough bike ride. Relax on the outside sun-drenched north facing lake-side deck or take a mixed box from their cellar door.

Founded in 2018, Boom Town Beer has produced three, bottled beers named after areas in the Marlborough region. Head over to Boom Town Beer Garden to taste the unique taste of the Boom Town beers can be found while sitting out in the sun and enjoy some tasty food. You will also find Boom Town at many of Marlborough’s brilliant locations including Vines Village Café and the wonderful lodges down the sounds.
