Stephanie McIntyre
“We are so spoilt in Marlborough when it comes to great food. We’ve got crayfish from the east coast and salmon, oysters and mussels grown in the Marlborough Sounds."
Cafes and restaurants
World class Sauvignon Blanc, matched with the freshest seafood, crisp, flavour-filled local produce and a drizzle of Marlborough olive oil...Brilliant!
Dining in Marlborough is a chance to really treat your taste buds, from a leisurely lunch at a vineyard restaurant, to a water's edge cafe in the Marlborough Sounds.
In town
You'll be spoilt for choice when dining out in Blenheim, Picton, Havelock or Renwick. Eatieries line the main streets, with good old kiwi cafes, cultural delights of traditional cuisine such as Indian, Thai, Chinese and Mexican and fine dining restaurants typical of a large city.
Amongst the vines
Indulge in a leisurely lunch at a vineyard restaurant or vine-side cafe, and pair wine with local produce to create the ultimate match made in Marlborough. Sit amongst the vines in Summer, or from the warmth of a cellar door restaurant with views to match.
In the Marlborough Sounds
From the ferry or plane, the Marlborough Sounds looks like an impressive network of sunken valleys and native bush, but tucked away in many bays you'll find a water's edge dining experience like no other. Whether it's a casual kiwi style cafe lunch, or a fine dining experience, a meal in the Marlborough Sounds is a must-do when visiting Marlborough.
