‘Study of Chaos & Collaboration’ is an attempt to reconcile the calamities of our changing climate with a human species reluctant to bear witness to the horrors in our midst.

Jim Tannock and Rosa McGregor have chosen multiple analogue forms because they want to reflect the possibilities of reconnection and engagement with landscape; with the universe of plants, with our fellow sentient beings, with one another that may be gentle and be adopted by anyone.

‘Collaboration’ is what is always happening in these environments, as they are destroyed and as they regenerate. Communication and reciprocity are the models that Jim and Rosa have been studying and presented here are their findings. Some of the questions asked are: Do we need more intimacy with landscape to understand reconciliation? Are we a part of nature, or apart from nature?

Jim brings expertise in photography and sound; Rosa brings knowledge of poetics and plants. As a pair their work will take form as medium format photographs, sonic recordings, as well as a publication including conversation, poetry and image.
