Rev's Retreat

Hosts Matt and Naomi are recent additions to the Marlborough lifestyle, although we have been visiting family in the region for some years and have long since fallen for the place. Cohen the Cat and Ruby the Dog are also fans of the relaxing atmosphere of Marlborough and of course all those sunshine hours! The Rev's Retreat began as a "one day we'll do it" dream. After the upheaval caused by the Christchurch earthquakes, Matt's parents suggested we care take their dream retirement home in sunny Marlborough. With the father, being a Minister and residing in the vicarage, and a previous owner also being a Minister - the Rev's Retreat was born! After 10 months the Revs Retreat grew up and moved out of home - we have now bought our own property, 1.5 blocks up the road. Following our experience in, and passion for, hospitality and tourism we welcome you to our Bed & Breakfast. We believe in good company, good food and good coffee - and you'll get it all when you stay with us. The Rev's Retreat is situated in a quiet street just 5 minutes drive from the centre of Blenheim, and fantastic wineries. Stay in our Superking Room (can be split to 2 singles), our Queen Room, or our Single Room and enjoy your continental breakfast in the comfortable breakfast room / lounge. Or relax in the front lounge enjoying a glass of wine overlooking the Wither Hills. Make use of our extensive DVD library. Take a quiet moment in the courtyard or cool down with a dip in the in ground swimming pool. Bedrooms are upstairs with views over the town to the Richmond ranges or Wither Hills and share use of bathroom / toilet with shower. We can offer a wide range of additional extras including choices of cooked breakfasts, espresso coffee made from Matt's own blend of roasted beans, family style dinners and desserts, BBQ experience, beverages, or your own fine dining dinner party for 2. Just ask us for our menu! We are happy to help you find your way around Marlborough and can recommend many local events, wineries, festivals and places of interest to visit while you are here. Enjoy complimentary airport or train station transfers and wireless internet. Your continental breakfast includes choice of homemade muesli plus 3 other cereals, yoghurt, fruit, home made preserves and toast, juice, perculator coffee, teas.
