Nestled in the heart of the Awatere Valley, this trail will leave the walker with a sense of serenity and calm. Travelling through the awe-inspiring environments and beautiful scenes that unfold as you traverse the trail is nothing short of breath-taking. As the track winds its way through native covered hills, meanders alongside creeks and strikes out into the Awatere back country.

The three-day unguided walk through the Awatere Valley promises an immersive experience in the rugged beauty of this New Zealand region. 

Day 1: The adventure begins on the first day, which involves hiking through picturesque landscapes and grazing land. This day's trek is relatively gentle, allowing you to ease into the journey.

Day 2: The second day is dedicated to more challenging terrain as you traverse along ridgelines and saddles. This portion of the hike offers stunning panoramic views of the Ure and Clarence valleys, providing ample opportunities for capturing breathtaking photos.  The scenic vistas along this leg of the journey are described as "picture perfect." Be prepared to be awed by the natural beauty of the region.

Day 3: On the third day, the hike takes you back along the interior of the property. Along the way, you'll pass an old musterers hut, providing a glimpse into the historical heritage of the area.
The third day also includes a walk through a beautiful native reserve, allowing you to appreciate the rich biodiversity and natural wonders of this region.

This unguided walk appears to offer a well-rounded exploration of the Awatere Valley, combining rugged terrain, stunning views, historical landmarks, and immersion in the region's natural beauty.
