Camping
Tap in the facilities at one of many holiday parks or pitch up a tent at one of the Department of Conservation campsites. A mix of locations are available including absolute waterfront camping in the Marlborough Sounds, high country farm campsites in Molesworth Station, and riverside camping amongst native bush near Pelorus Bridge and Havelock.

Whether you're playing a round of golf, swimming, or getting on the water, Marlborough takes sport and leisure seriously.
The whole region - Blenheim, Picton, Havelock townships, and surrounds - has easy access to brilliant sports and leisure activities.
Aquatic centre
If all the sunshine is making you yearn for a dip, head along to the Stadium 2000 pool in Blenheim.
Governors Bay
A short drive or decent bike ride from Picton, and a beautiful 15 minute walk down through a scenic reserve takes you to this stunning, white sandy beach in the Marlborough Sounds.

Department of Conservation campsites
If you’re after a million dollar view for very little cost, visit one of the nearly 50 Department of Conservation (DOC) campsites in Marlborough, from Blumine Island in the Marlborough Sounds, to the Acheron at the far end of the Molesworth Road.
Rarangi Beach Campground
Rarangi Beach near Blenheim has a great dog friendly campsite at the edge of the ocean, so come prepared to fish, surf and picnic, and pack some shoes to enjoy the walks nearby.
Rainbow Ski Area
Perched on the northern end of the Southern Alps, at 1760m above Lake Rotoiti, Rainbow Ski Area is here today because of the dedication of the local ski community.
Wairau Valley Golf Club
Wairau Valley Golf Course is a 9 hole course 30 minutes west of Blenheim on S/H 63.
Marlborough Golf Club
The Marlborough Golf Club at Fairhall near Blenheim is an 18-hole course set amongst stunning vines, with clubs and golf carts available for hire.
Rarangi Golf Club
Rarangi Golf Club – Simply Brilliant golf every day The course, which snuggles between the surf of Cloudy Bay and bush clad hills dominated by Mount Robertson, offers a challenge for all grades of golfers.
Nopera Golf Club
Nopera Golf Club is affiliated with New Zealand Golf in the Tasman District but is the only course in the Marlborough Sounds. There are very few quality golf courses as remote as Nopera,
Picton Golf Club
Picton Golf Club prides itself on maintaining a course that rates amongst the best in the region.
Blenheim Golf Club
Blenheim Golf Club is right in the heart of Marlborough's Blenheim township, next to the picturesque Pollard Park.
Awatere Golf Club
We are located just North of Seddon, or 23 km south of Blenheim on State Highway 1. It is an easy twenty-minute drive from Blenheim.
Pelorus Bridge Scenic Reserve
Enjoy beautiful forest and river scenery on one of several walks - there are short, easy options for kids and a river for them to swim in too.
Whites Bay
Whites Bay, just over the hill from Rarangi, between Picton and Blenheim, is a brilliant safe bay for swimming with a white, sandy beach and sheltered bay.
Self-Contained Motor Vehicle camping
If you are camping in a self-contained campervan, you can park up at one of the Marlborough District Council’s designated spots, including Wynen Street car park in Blenheim, Wairau Diversion Reserve in Blenheim, Taylor Dam Reserve, Renwick Domain and Elterwater near Ward.
Robin Hood Bay campground
Camp next to the beach. Fish, surf at a nearby beach, or watch for Hector’s dolphins.
Mill Flat Campsite
Mill Flat is a quiet dog-friendly campsite 22km up Northbank Rd, northwest of Blenheim. You’ll find a grassy clearing with a beech forest nearby.
Moawhitu, D'Urville Island
Stunning, remote campsite near to a surf beach with good fishing, hunting, tramping, and mountain biking nearby.
